Robbery reported at Family Dollar in Sparta
Police: Man threatened to kill employees
SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT) — A man entered the Family Dollar in Sparta on Sunday and threatened to kill employees if he wasn’t given money, according to Sparta police.
The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. at the Family Dollar store at 410 Black River Street South. Sparta police said the man, who did not show a weapon, ran away with an undetermined amount of cash.
The suspect was described as a white male between the ages of 25-30 years old and was between 5’6″ and 5’8″ tall. The man had a medium build and weighed about 160 lbs. The suspect had short reddish or blond hair, facial hair and had a prominent mole on the left side of his face near his nose. Police said the suspect was last seen wearing a camouflage military-style jacket with an olive drab hood, dark blue jeans, and aviator-styled sunglasses.
