Ronnie Brockway: Onalaska’s Ultimate Team Player

The Onalaska football team is 12-0 on the season and a lot of their success comes from the practice field, where guys like senior Ronnie Brockway get their shine.

“I just love it,” Brockway said. I love my teammates, I love my coaches, I love playing scout because it gets me better personally.”

Brockway went out for football for the first time since 5th grade and little did he know he would become one of the most important practice guys.

“It’s what makes the program good when those guys take that job seriously,” Head Coach Tom Yashinksy said. “The guys know everyone has a role, your role might be a scout team player, it might be a starter but every one of them is important.”

The Hilltoppers will play in their first state semifinal game in school history on Friday night against West Salem. The winner heads to Madison next week for the Division 3 state title game.
