Rotary Club of La Crosse releases fourth edition of ‘The Brain Game’

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — A book meant to improve your child’s development is also uniting the community.

In a special ceremony, the Rotary Club of La Crosse presented the newest edition of “The Brain Game” — a resource book meant to aid parents and caregivers with their child’s development.

The book includes activities and other tips for development stages up to three years old.

Rotary Club members were inspired to write the first edition over 20 years ago and with the fourth edition being revealed on Thursday, members are certain the book has been very beneficial to parents and children in the area.

“We know that the parents are the prime actors in a child’s life, but we look at the community as being the supporting cast and our whole attitude is, we want a child to succeed cause if the child succeeds, then the community succeeds,” said Chuck Hanson, president of the Rotary Club of La Crosse’s Brain Game Board of Directors.

Each new mother who gives birth at either of the two local hospitals will get a free copy.
