Rotary Lights gives back to community organizations in La Crosse area
The annual display of lights collects donations during their yearly event
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Rotary Lights continues to shine bright for the community.
Organizers of the annual display of lights distributed about $90,000 that will support community organizations.
After a year of financial struggles for people and businesses throughout our area, organizers say the ability to help is extra special.
“Between unemployment and checks not going as far and people being laid off and so on. The food pantries are being taxed like they’ve never been before. So any chance we get, as our mission of Rotary Lights is to feed the hungry, we want to get some more dollars in their pockets.” said Rotary Lights president Pat Stephens.
The 27th year of Rotary Lights will return to Riverside Park the day after Thanksgiving this November.
