Rotary Lights has another great season

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) It was another generous year as the Rotary Lights finalize totals for this year’s donations.

Rotary Lights food donations crossed over the 4 million mark for total collections since the beginning of the display in 1995.

Organizers say that due to a shorter season and rainy weather, total donations saw a drop from last year, and there was a decrease in attendance as well.

But when the weather did cooperate, they say Riverside Park was packed.

There were roughly 140,000 visitors this year and the helicopter rides were a huge success, with hundreds of people choosing to fly over the display.
