Rudy’s Drive-In vandalized, police look for suspect
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Police are looking for the person responsible for vandalizing Rudy’s Drive-In in La Crosse.
The incident happened about 3 o’clock last Friday morning.
Police say one person smashed a window at Rudy’s before running away.
Security cameras captured the suspect walking through the alley moments before the incident.
The owner of Rudy’s says he doesn’t know why the drive-in was vandalized, but he learned about the broken window shortly after it happened.
“All I know is that I got a call at about four o’clock in the morning from my night manager that comes in and does a lot of clean-up and gets us ready for the next day, and he said, ‘part of your window is missing, I think somebody better come,'” said Gary Rudy.
Management doesn’t believe anything was taken from the restaurant.
Police say the suspect is in his teens. They have identified him, but they’re still looking for him.
The window was repaired within a day after the incident.
