Salvation Army kicks off Red Kettle Campaign
LA CROSSE (WKBT) – The Salvation Army is gearing up for one of its biggest annual events.
The Red Kettle Campaign is kicking off on Nov. 12 at the La Crosse Center with a concert, food, and a silent auction.
This campaign dates back to 1891 and is the driving force behind the funding for the Salvation Army.
“That money does go to help year-round activities and programs we run, most notably our shelter,” said Salvation Army Maj. Alan Hellstrom. “As the weather now turns cold, we are focusing on our shelter more and more.”
All proceeds from the concert will go to support the Salvation Army and all future events.
If you are interested in donating to the Red Kettle Campaign or the Salvation Army, they are accepting donations online and in person.
