Salvation Army’s Bell Ringing campaign kicks off with breakfast celebration
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A pancake breakfast is fueling volunteers to ring in the holiday season in the area.
The Salvation Army of La Crosse County hosted a breakfast to kick off the bell ringing campaign for the year.
The campaign officially starts Saturday at locations throughout La Crosse County.
Ten thousand dollars of donations made tomorrow will be matched by Brenengen Auto Group.
Money raised throughout the campaign supports the Salvation Army in La Crosse County.
“As you can see in the background, we are a shelter here, those are men’s housing behind us, meals are served here, over 100,000 meals are served here, thousands of bed nights are given here at the shelter, so all of that funds throughout the year,” said Major Jeff Richardson, Salvation Army of La Crosse County.
Bell ringers will be out through December 24th though the campaign continues to January 31st.
