Santa Claus comes to town, meets area kids at mall
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Valley View Mall hosted Santafest Saturday.
Santa was led to his seat at Center Court in the mall Saturday morning by a parade of mascots, including the River Valley Ghost Busters.
The Ghost Busters collected presents to donate to New Horizons Shelter and Outreach Centers during Santafest.
Kids could play festive games and make crafts to take home, as well as list off what presents they want from Santa.
Laurie Cafe, the marketing director for the Valley View Mall, said they love providing free events that help bring people in our area together–and out of the cold.
“That’s why we do our events: It’s a great way to give back to the community and know that we’re giving families something to do. You’re at that time of the year now we’re you’re like, ‘Shoot, we don’t want to sit inside all day long. What can we do?’ Well, hey! Here we are!” said Cafe.
Santa will be at the mall until December 24 th .
