Scarecrow Fest brings free Halloween fun to La Crosse families
Events included a coloring station, pumpkin painting, mummy wrap game
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — La Crosse families got to enjoy some Halloween-themed fun Sunday.
It was part of Scarecrow Fest at the Southside Neighborhood Center.
Families were treated to events like a coloring station, pumpkin painting, and a mummy wrap game. Kids and their parents were encouraged to come in costume to help celebrate.
There was also a free lunch offered, in fact the entire Scarecrow Fest was free for families.
“I think it is so important to have free events like this for the community, it’s always nice to take your family to something where you know you’ll just have lots fun and there’s no cost at all,” said Megan Trotter, of La Crosse’s Parks and Rec.
More than 200 people took part in Sunday’s event.
