Scavenger hunt in Sparta is underway

Multiple prizes will be awarded worth up to $100

SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT) – A special scavenger hunt is underway to get kids outside for a chance to win a prize. The Sparta Kiwanis Club is partnering with the Monroe County Local History Room to sponsor a city-wide Scavenger Hunt.

The event starts Saturday and will run for two weeks. All kids and their families in the Sparta area are welcome to join in on the fun.

Families can pick up the scavenger hunt forms anytime from the Little Free Library in front of Mueller Square. Multiple prizes will be awarded worth up to $100.

“So one of the things that’s been interesting, is it gets kids and families out. I know in my neighborhood people are looking for anything to do with their children. They say let’s go take a bike ride, let’s go do this, so this something else they can do,” said John Winklemann, a member of Sparta Kiwanis and an organizer of the event.

Completed forms are due before midnight on August 15th. They should be dropped into the Sparta Free Library book return slot located on the north end of the Library.
