School District of La Crosse to host collaborative career fair with City, County
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — As part of an ongoing collaboration, the City of La Crosse, La Crosse County, and the School District of La Crosse are hosting a career fair Tuesday, July 24.
The career fair will be held in two locations, the Black River Beach Neighborhood Center, 1433 Rose Street, from 1p.m. to 3 p.m. and then at the Southside Neighborhood Center, 1300 6th Street South, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., according to a press release.
“Our organizations have been working very closely over the past nine years in order to maximize efficiencies, professionally develop staff, and problem-solve complex issues facing the community.” said director of human resources for the School District of La Crosse Mark White. “The career fair is another positive example of this collaboration helping our community to grow even stronger.
Some examples of positions being sought after include teacher assistants, custodial services, substitute staff, information technology, food nutrition, nursing home services, bus operators, mechanics, and clerical support.
The career fair is free and open to the public. Interested participants can meet with hiring managers and become more familiar with career opportunities offered by the School District of La Crosse, La Crosse county and the City of La Crosse.
