School supply drive in La Crosse to benefit Crazy Horse School in South Dakota

Drive to be hosted Sunday at Mathy Center in La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – You can help people living in the poorest county in all the United States during a drive this weekend.

A local student will run a school supply drive this Sunday in La Crosse.

Donations to be given to Crazy Horse School in Pine Ridge Native American Reservation.

School supplies like notebooks, pencil and rulers are needed.

The drive will hosted Sunday during a volleyball tournament at the Mathy Center on Viterbo’s campus in La Crosse.

The donations can help change lives.

“It’s really heartwarming to be able to help kids, they want to learn but they just don’t have the materials to learn. And I just really just wanted to reach out and try to get our community involved to help a different community who would really need it,” said Zoe Johnson, who organized the drive for her senior exit project.

Bins will be located throughout the Mathy Center on Sunday.
