Scrap-A-Thon event in La Crosse to raise funds for Boy Scouts
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The Gateway Area Council Boy Scouts will be holding a Scrap-A-Thon Saturday at the La Crosse County Landfill from 9 a.m. to Noon.
The Boy Scouts, in partnership with La Crosse County Landfill and Runde Metal Recycling LLC of Holmen/Tomah, will accept scrap metal or any recyclable metal on June 2 at the La Crosse County Landfill, according to a press release.
One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit the scouting program in the Coulee Region.
In addition to the Scrap-A-Thon event, the La Crosse County Landfill and Runde Metal Recycling LLC will also take your recycling goods through the month of June on behalf of the Boy Scouts – just mention that you would like the proceeds to benefit the Boy Scouts.
