Screaming Eagles Marching Band practicing once again

Band will have some virtual events this fall

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The sounds of fall are back on the UW-La Crosse campus.

The UWL ‘Screaming Eagles’ Marching Band is back on the field practicing ahead of the fall semester.

Like many things, this year is different for the band.

There are no UWL football games to play at and when the bands are playing, they are seperated into three groups.

Even with the changes, the band is happy to be back together.

“It’s definitely different, but I mean I love being here with the band. This is what I want to do. So if we have to do a little bit different, then I’m happy to abide by those rules,” said Screaming Eagles Marching Band member Aimee Eifert.

The band will still find ways to play this fall.

A virtual performance is coming September 12th for Steppin Out in Pink.

And September 19th, the band will hold their annual High School Band Day online.
