Seimone Augustus leaves Lynx after 14 seasons for Sparks

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Sparks have signed guard Seimone Augustus. The six-time All-WNBA selection left the Minnesota Lynx after 14 seasons.

Augustus was a key piece of four championship teams with the Lynx. They drafted her with the first overall pick out of LSU in 2006.

After their last title in 2017, the Lynx have lost in the first round of the playoffs in each of the last two years. Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve called working with Augustus “one of the greatest joys” of her coaching life.
