Senator Amy Klobuchar to speak at inauguration
Senator Klobuchar will serve on the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies and will provide remarks at the inauguration
LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – Although the Vice-Presidency may not be in the cards, Senator Amy Klobuchar is still a key part of Washington.
Senator Klobuchar is the ranking member of the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, the committee which has jurisdiction over succession.
Because she is the longest-serving member on that committee, Senator Klobuchar will serve on the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies and will provide remarks at the inauguration.
Senator Klobuchar said in part, “It is an honor to serve on this committee, which lays the groundwork for the inauguration of the President of the United States. The inaugural ceremony is one of the cornerstones of our democracy, representing the continuity of leadership in our nation.”
