Senior citizens hand out candy to La Crosse college students

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Monday is Halloween and many little goblins and ghouls spent this weekend collecting candy. But a group of senior citizens in La Crosse are proving Trick or Treating isn’t just for the little ones.
Chief photographer Chuck Oedsma ran into a duo passing out some wickedly delicious treats outside the Forest Park Senior Apartments.
“Come on fellas, happy Halloween.”
“Thank you very much.”
“You betcha. Grab one out of the cauldron.”

“That’s the idea, your never to old to trick or treat.”

“Just for the fun of it. Just to make a good relationship between the college students and the people here.”

“They’re really nice. Very kind to be sitting out here in this weather.”
