Sentencing postponed for La Crosse man convicted of strangulation
Chad Keleman requests new attorney
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The sentencing of a La Crosse man convicted of strangulation, suffocation and battery is postponed.
37-year-old Chad Kelemen asked for a new attorney at his sentencing hearing Monday afternoon.
In September, Kelemen plead no contest and was found guilty of strangling his girlfriend with a bed sheet at their home in March.
Kelemen’s girlfriend said she was sleeping on the couch when he began strangling her stating, “we’re going to end it right now.”
Kelemen’s sentencing will now be rescheduled.
