Severe thunderstorms possible
Main severe threat for our area is 4 p.m. - midnight
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The Storm Prediction Center has the entire News 8 viewing area under a slight risk of severe weather and a Moderate risk father west for parts of Minnesota and Iowa on Thursday.
StormTeam 8 Meteorologist Bill Graul says the main severe threat for our area will most likely be from 4 p.m. to midnight. Threats will include large hail and strong winds. A few tornadors are possible as well, especially in Iowa and Minnesota.
Graul said he can’t fully rule out an isolated severe storm earlier on Thursday.

Thunderstorms that rolled through the News 8 viewing area Wednesday morning produced large hail.
News 8 viewers in Richland County sent us pictures of golf ball size hail that fell near Sabin and Cazenovia.
The first round of thunderstorms swept through our area around 8 a.m. and ended around 10:30 a.m.
