Shirley Johnson
Shirley Johnson, 84, of Whitehall died Monday, October 18, 2021, at Pigeon Falls Healthcare Center.
Shirley was born June 11, 1937, in Black River Falls to Creswell and Gladys (Davis) Lindow. She married Norman E. Stoker June 25, 1955, in Black River Falls. They divorced in 1975. She married Mark G. Johnson March 14, 1981 in Black River Falls. He preceded her in death on September 9, 2003.
Shirley worked various jobs until 1978. She was the tax lister of Trempealeau County until June of 2003.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl (Randy) Jurowski of Independence and Sharon (Greg) Halama of Whitehall; two brothers, Richard (Ardel) Lindow and Creswell Jr. (Ann) Lindow, both of Black River Falls; two sisters, Judith Salzwedel and Carol (Gary) Gunderson, both of Ettrick; four grandchildren, Faithe (Cory) Kazik of Appleton, Desirae Hanson of Independence, Garrett (Emily) Halama of Whitehall and Julia (Kyle) Micek of Onalaska; three great-grandchildren, Amelia and Jensen Kazik and Ronnie Mae Halama.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother-in-law, Louis Salzwedel.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 22, at North Beaver Creek Lutheran Church, rural Ettrick. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Edison Funeral Home, Independence and one hour before services at the church on Friday.
