Shirt distribution held for Steppin’ Out In Pink

Event will be held virtually

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – A splash of pink is set to bring extra color to La Crosse.

The first shirt pick up was Wednesday morning for the annual ‘Steppin’ Out In Pink’ event.

More than 2,000 community members are signed for the event which will be held virtually this year.

While community members won’t be walking together as a group, organizers say the colorful display still has an impact.

“We have people that are registered in Arizona, Colorado, that are all getting their t-shirts shipped to them and walking into their own neighborhood where they live. So it’s exciting to kind of expand and what Steppin’ Out In Pink looks like in the Coulee Region. But also expand out into different areas,” said Gundersen Medical Foundation development specialist Tia Sneath.

There are still shirt pick up drive-throughs planned for Thursday and again in September.

Details are available on the ‘Steppin’ Out In Pink’ website.

That is where you can find registration details which is open until September 12th.
