Slight Chance Of Showers Overnight -Bill Graul
Frost Possible For Many Friday Night Into Saturday Morning
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 41F / Friday’s Forecast High: 58F…
A cold front will slide southeast across the region tonight, bringing passing clouds and a slight chance of light rain showers overnight. Low temps will be similar to last night, ranging from the low-mid 30s (far north) to the upper 30s to low 40s.
There’s a minimal threat for a light frost in far northern parts of our viewing area… with Dunn, Chippewa and Rusk Counties under a FROST ADVISORY from 3 a.m. to 8 a.m. Friday morning.
Friday will be dry with sunny to partly cloudy skies. Temps will remain below average, with highs in the mid-upper 50s. Keep in mind average highs are in the upper 60s! Winds Friday will be from the NW around 5-15 mph, with gusts around 20 mph possible.
Clear skies and light winds Friday night will lead to even colder temps, with lows in the low-mid 30s for many. Traditional colder spots north and east could dip into the mid-upper 20s! Frost will be possible for many later Friday night into Saturday morning… so you may want to pump the brakes on any outdoor planting.
Looking Ahead… Clouds will gradually increase Saturday, but the bulk of the day looks dry with highs in the upper 50s to near 60F. Chance of rain showers by Saturday evening, with showers possibly lingering into Mother’s Day Sunday as well. Highs on Sunday will fall back into the mid-upper 50s. A couple more chilly nights look to be in store, with lows in the mid-upper 30s Sunday and Monday nights.
Dry, but still cool Monday with highs in the upper 50s. Tuesday and Wednesday also look dry with high temps warming into the low 60s Tuesday… then mid 60s Wednesday. More seasonable by next Thursday and Friday with highs in the upper 60s and some spots may even flirt with 70F. With the warmer air will come small chances for rain showers.
Have a good Thursday night! -Bill Graul
