Slight Chance of Showers with Rising Temps Overnight -Bill Graul

Windy & Warmer Saturday, More Storms into Saturday Evening

Tonight’s Forecast Low: 53F (rising overnight) / Saturday’s Forecast High: 75F…

A good soaking rain for most areas today, with totals ranging from .25″ to 1.00″ for most. There were a few isolated rumbles of thunder this morning as well in some areas.

Rainfall Reports

Slight chance of showers through about midnight as a warm front lifts north into the area. That front will help temps rise from the upper 40s to low 50s this evening… into the upper 50s to low 60s Saturday morning. Winds will be breezy tonight from the SE around 10-20 mph and gusts to 30 mph possible.

Friday Night

Wkbt Master

Much of Saturday will be dry, with windy and warmer conditions. Expect highs in the 70s for most, with south winds 15-25 mph and gusts around 35 mph possible. A cold front approaching from the west will bring another chance for showers and t-storms late in the day and into Saturday evening. The timing looks to be after about 4 or 5 p.m…. with chances increasing after about 7 or 8 p.m.

ALERT EVENING/NIGHT: There’s an outside chance for some strong to isolated severe storms, especially west of the Miss. River. Strong winds would be the main threat, perhaps some hail as well. Isolated tornadoes are possible, but mainly farther to our west. The line of storms should be in weakening mode as they track east across our area Saturday evening and night, but we’ll keep an eye on them for you. Just stay extra weather aware Saturday evening and night… just in case.

Spc Outlook Day 2 Bill

A few showers could linger into early Sunday, otherwise expect a windy day with cooler highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Much cooler Monday through Wednesday with highs only in the 40s to low 50s. Small chance of showers on Wednesday.

8 Day Build 3

Looking Ahead… Isolated showers possible next Thursday and Friday, then a better chance for showers and perhaps some thunderstorms next Saturday. Temps do look to warm later next week, with highs near 60F Thursday, then mid-upper 60s Friday. Greater rain chances Saturday could knock highs back down around 60F.

Have a great weekend and keep an eye on things Saturday evening/night. -Bill Graul
