Slight Chance of T-Storms Overnight, Esp. N/W -Bill Graul

Chance of Afternoon/Evening Storms Friday, This Time Better Chances S/E

Tonight’s Forecast Low: 70F / Friday’s Forecast High: 85F…

A new record high temp was set today at the La Crosse airport… for the 2nd day in a row. We shattered the record today with a high of 96F, breaking the old record of 90F… set way back in 1940.

2020 Dma High Temps

It’s another active severe weather evening well to our west and I’m expecting these storms to weaken considerably as they track northeast closer to our area. With that said, there’s a slight chance some showers and storms could survive into our area overnight… with the best chances north/west. The severe threat in our area tonight is low.

Otherwise, it will be another mild and fairly muggy night across the region with lows in the mid 60s to low 70s… along with breezy south winds.

2020 Evening 8 To 8

Thursday Night Forecast

Not as hot Friday as a cool front will track southeast across the region. Where it sets up during the prime heating of the afternoon and evening will be key in where the chance for showers and storms will be. As of now, it looks like the best chance for storms Friday afternoon and evening will be southeast of La Crosse. Expect highs in the 80-86F range.

Just isolated showers and storms are possible Saturday and Sunday. There’s an outside chance for a strong storm in spots Saturday afternoon and early evening. Highs will be in the low 80s Saturday, then more seasonable low-mid 70s Sunday.

8 Day Build 3

Looking Ahead… Cooler into next week with highs Tuesday through Thursday in the upper 60s to low 70s. A bit warmer next Friday with highs in the mid 70s. There looks to be low-end rain chances next Wednesday through Friday, but plenty of dry time as well.

Have a good Thursday night! -Bill Graul
