Snow Showers Early, Otherwise Windy & Chilly Tonight -Bill Graul
Unseasonably Cool Temps Through Easter Weekend
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 28F / Friday’s Forecast High: 43F…
It was sure a windy day across the region, with some spots seeing wind gusts over 50 mph, including the La Crosse airport out on French Island.
Not only that, but temps were unseasonably chilly and there were scattered snow showers across the region. Overall, not a nice mid-April day at all! Those snow showers will fall apart this evening after the sun sets. Winds will come down a bit as well, but it will still be rather breezy overnight. Expect lows in the 20s in most areas.
Mix of clouds and sun Friday. Still breezy and cool with highs only in the mid-upper 30s to mid 40s. More of the same Saturday, with breezy highs in the low-mid 40s with partly sunny skies. Slight chance of showers later Easter Sunday with highs in the mid 40s. Light rain showers or mix possible Sunday night into Monday. Keep in mind our average high this time of year is around 60F!
Looking Ahead… More clouds than sun Tuesday with highs in the 45-50F range. Chance of rain showers Wednesday, but at least highs will climb back into the 50s. Finally near or even above average temps by next Friday with highs in the low 60s. That will sure feel nice!
In the meantime, hang on to your hats, trash cans and small dogs… and have a great night! -Bill Graul
