Social work degree completion option coming for Viterbo University
Program will launch in the fall
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – With an expected increased demand for social workers, one local university is making a degree more accessible for students.
Viterbo University is launching a degree completion program.
People who already have an associate degree in human services or a related field can earn a Bachelor’s degree in social work at Viterbo in just 4 or 5 semesters.
This new program is in addition to the four-year Social Work degree that has been on campus for nearly 20 years.
Classes will be on-campus in the evening and online.
“For an undergraduate, credentialed social worker, those opportunities are going to grow about 11 or 12 percent in all areas. So definitely trying to fulfill that need in our own region and community,” said Jennifer Anderson-Meger.
The new social work degree completion program at Viterbo will launch this fall.
