Some Lisbon High students punished; hazing alleged
LISBON, Iowa (AP) — Authorities say several Lisbon High School students have been punished for bullying and harassment.
Cedar Rapids television station KGAN says a student on the eastern Iowa school’s wrestling team had reported being hazed, including being urinated on.
In a statement to the station, Superintendent Brad Laures said a report of misconduct was received on Dec. 20. He says a subsequent district investigation determined that policies barring bullying and harassment had been violated, so “serious disciplinary action” was taken against several students. He did not elaborate.
Police Chief Rick Scott says incidents have been reported to his department and are being investigated.
