Somerville, Barringer-Simpson earn Relays honors

University of Cincinnati hurdler Terence Somerville and U.S. runner Jenny Barringer-Simpson have been named the outstanding men’s and women’s performers for this year’s Drake Relays.

Somerville set a meet record Saturday by winning the 110-meter hurdles in 13.48 seconds.

Barringer-Simpson, a native Iowan, won the women’s 1,500 in 4:09.56.

Cedar Falls High’s James Harrington was honored as the outstanding boys’ performer.
