Sparta firefighters receive over 2,000 cans of emergency drinking water
SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT) — The Sparta Area Fire District was donated 2,300 cans of emergency drinking water.
That donation is thanks to Anheuser-Busch and S&S Distributing out of Sparta.
Assistant Fire Chief Robert Arnold said having this supply makes a difference for both the firefighters and the community that they serve.
“We respond to over 300 incidents a year, and hydration is very important, especially during long-duration incidents,” Arnold said.
This will also provide hydration for those in need at those incidents.
Volunteers make up 67% of firefighters in the United States. Arnold said that this donation is a big help to the firefighters and the taxpayers.
