Special education students put groove on at Holmen High School dance
HOLMEN, Wis. (WKBT) – Students in Holmen are getting their groove on.
The high school held a Spring Fling Dance during school hours for special education students Friday.
Special education students from up to 10 schools also showed off their dance moves at the event.
The dance featured a photo booth, DJ, and new for this year, face painting.
“They’re just so excited,” special education transition Lynne Wilson said. “A lot of them don’t have an opportunity to go to a dance if it’s after school hours. So that’s why we have it during the school day.”
Wilson says the school invited other classes from the high school, so all the students had a chance to interact.
