…Elevated Fire Weather Conditions this afternoon…
Winds will be northwest at 15 to 25 mph, gusting 25 to 40 mph this
afternoon. Along with low humidity values, this will bring
elevated fire weather conditions to much of southeast Minnesota,
northeast Iowa and western into southwest Wisconsin this
afternoon.
The worst conditions will occur through 6 pm. Given the strength
of the winds, any fires that start today will spread rapidly and
will be difficult to contain. Burning is strongly discouraged.
Check with local fire officials before considering any burning
this afternoon.
