…Bitter Cold Wind Chills Across the Area this Afternoon…
Temperatures across the region this afternoon will range from the
single digits to teens below zero. Although wind has generally,
remained light, occasional increases in wind speed will lead to
sporadic wind chill values in the 20s to lower 30s below zero.
These wind chills can lead to frostbite in as little as 30
minutes. Avoid being outside for extended periods of time, but if
you must go out, dress warm and in layers. Make sure to cover any
exposed skin.
