Spring Election coming in Wisconsin
Polls open at 7 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m. on Election Day
LA CROSSE COUNTY, Wis. (WKBT) – Polls open for the spring election in Wisconsin Tuesday at seven in the morning.
There’s just one statewide race on the ballot for State Superintendent.
In La Crosse, voters will elect a new mayor, council members and school board members.
Voters are encouraged to wear face coverings to the polls and may be asked to stay socially distant.
Just how busy the polls could get depends on where you live.
“Some of the areas have more contested races, like the city of La Crosse mayoral race, there is a couple of school districts, a couple local town races. They may have a slightly higher turnout. But we don’t expect long lines out the door that we would typically see as a presidential election,” said La Crosse County Clerk Ginny Dankmeyer.
Anyone returning an absentee ballot can not vote in-person after they’ve mailed their ballot.
And any absentee ballots must be received by your municipal clerk by eight tomorrow evening.
That is also when polls close.
