Squad car stolen by intoxicated driver
LYNDON STATION, Wis. (WKBT) — Juneau County police report an intoxicated woman stole a squad car after a deputy and trooper responded to a disturbance call at a gas station.
Sara Windom, 29, left the store after the police talked with her and a male inside the BP in Lyndon Station.
The deputy stated he then looked outside and noticed his patrol vehicle was gone.
A witness said the female got into the vehicle and headed east on I90-94.
Windom pulled the car over when the trooper activated his emergency lights.
She is tentatively being charged with her 3 rd OWI offense, operating after revocation, operating without ignition interlock, and operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent.
