Statewide workforce development tour stops in Winona
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) — Minnesota educators and employers are preparing future generations of workers for successful, in-demand careers.
Senators Jeremy Miller and Paul Anderson traveled to Winona on Wednesday as part of a statewide workforce development tour.
Employers, high schools, and colleges are partnering together to give students exposure to high demand jobs they may not know about.
“What these programs give is exposer to alternative trades and skills that really are in high demand. We’ve got shortages in manufacturing and other industries that students have all these opportunities that they don’t even know about.” Senator Paul Anderson (R-Plymouth) said.
The tour highlights the success these partnerships have had throughout the state.
