Still Some Scattered Showers or Drizzle at Times Tonight -Bill Graul
Areas of Fog Possible Tonight as Well
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 52F / Thursday’s Forecast High: 61F…
This latest system provided a good soaking rain for the region Tuesday night and Wednesday, with most areas picking up anywhere from .75″ to 1.50″ of rainfall… including 1.20″ at the La Crosse airport.
Still some scattered showers possible tonight as an area of low-pressure tracks by to our southeast. Otherwise, expect clouds, areas of fog and perhaps some drizzle at times. Lows will range from the mid 40s to low 50s.
Mainly cloudy Thursday with just a slight chance of light showers or sprinkles in spots, especially during the morning hours. It will still be cool with highs in the mid 50s to low 60s. Mostly sunny and warmer Friday, with highs in the low 70s… making for a beautiful day.
We warm up heading into the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Expect highs in the mid 70s Saturday, then low 80s Sunday… then well into the 80s on Memorial Day. Humidity will be increasing as well. With the warmth and humidity in place, it won’t take much of a trigger/boundary to cause at least a slight chance of showers and t-storms at times. Because of this, I have low-end storm chances in the forecast each day, but there will be PLENTY of dry time each day as well. Stay tuned for updates as we will fine tune any rain chances and the timing as the weekend gets closer.
Looking Ahead… Still warm next Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the 80s. Small chance of storms Tuesday, then a better chance Tuesday night into Wednesday. Dry and not quite as warm next Thursday, with highs in the low-mid 70s.
Have a great night! -Meteorologist Bill Graul
