Strong winds and heavy rainfall cause issues in La Crosse area
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The La Crosse area saw some thunderstorms and heavy rainfall Wednesday evening.
The storm caused damage throughout the area and knocked down powerlines in La Crosse, La Crescent, Onalaska, and other areas. Police also redirected traffic away from Lang Drive, between Monitor and La Crosse streets, due to a downed power line.
The high-speed winds also tore up a few trees as the rainfall flooded some roads.
