Students help add murals to Trempealeau County

INDEPENDENCE, Wis. (WKBT) – Trempealeau County’s art scene is growing.
Local artists are working on a mural along Highway 93 in Independence.
The mural is one of two Independence School District projects funded by an Ashley for the Arts Community Cares Grant.
Two murals will be added during the effort.
The designs come from the place they call home.
“Our name is kind of military and we kind of got the red and white and blue,” said artist Owen Gierik.
