Students trick-or-treating for a good cause

The food collected will benefit i-Feed

A group of students and staff from our area will be trick-or-treating for something other than candy this weekend.

About 150 people from Central High School will be collecting non-perishable food items on La Crosse’s south side Saturday evening.

The food collected will benefit i-Feed, a one-day event which aims to be the largest food drive our community has ever held.

“So we’re trying to support the community out in the community to improve educational outcomes,” says Central High School teacher John Havlicek. “To give the kids a better experience that they’re just now more ready and able to do the other things that our community wants these kids to do.”

Central students will be collecting canned items in the neighborhood surrounding the school from 4 until 7 Saturday night.
