Summer fundraiser gives people in the Coulee Region a chance to show off their gardens

LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – People in the Coulee Region have a chance to show off their gardens while contributing to a great cause.

Grow La Crosse is launching a ‘Virtual Bountiful Garden Tour.’

It’s part of the organization’s summer fundraiser to connect children to nature and healthy lifestyles during the pandemic.

Money goes toward GROW gardens, farm camps, and schoolyard lessons.

To participate, you can send pictures of your garden to GROW.

There’s an entry fee, which goes toward the fundraiser.

The community’s support makes a big difference for kids in our area.

“Children are such sponges with that type of information. They soak it up and take it all in. They carry it for the rest of their lives,” said Jessica Parente, summer marketing intern.

Admissions for the Virtual Bountiful Garden Tour are accepted now through July 31st and there is even a $100 dollar grand prize!

Plus, there are categories that fit every type of garden.
