Sunday BINGO helps pay off school lunch debt

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – People are playing Sunday afternoon BINGO at Moose Lodge for a unique prize, and it’s added up to be one worth winning.

But it’s not for the first person to fill their card.

Instead, $7,000 of BINGO proceeds will be used to pay off school lunch debt.

Women of the Moose presented the check to the La Crosse School District on Sunday.

Although they’ve made donations in the past, this is the biggest one yet.

It wouldn’t be possible without the player’s love for the game.

“Everybody is really shocked when they hear what we’re giving out, and very happy about it. I’m very happy myself, that we can do this for the community,” said Barb Wallace, Recorder for Women of the Moose.

In the past Women of the Moose have made donations to the Salvation Army, Boys & Girls Club, breast cancer research, and many more causes.
