Suspect in La Crosse car chase crashes into home
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A stolen vehicle in La Crosse led police on a chase through part of the city Monday afternoon before crashing into a house.
The suspect has been arrested.
It began when a La Crosse officer spotted a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of Menard’s along Lang Drive. The vehicle drove off when the officer tried to approach.
It was later spotted on Copeland Avenue. The driver then led officers on a chase.
Officers forced the vehicle to stop before reaching dangerous speeds, and the driver crashed into a home along Gould Street before taking off on foot.
A canine officer was called to the scene and the suspect was found and arrested along Copeland Avenue.
No one was injured and the incident is under investigation.
