Sweet: Gemütlichkeit Foundation resumes Forks and Corks scholarship fundraiser
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — After the pandemic pause that put a fork and a stopper in Forks and Corks, Oktoberfest USA is selling tickets now to resume the Gemütlichkeit Foundation fundraiser for scholarships for area La Crosse-area high school students.
The seventh Forks and Corks celebration is set for 5 to 8 p.m. June 2 in The Cargill Room at The Waterfront.
The foundation is striving to raise to raise $10,000 for scholarships at Forks and Corks. Nine $1,000 scholarships will go to students at Aquinas, Bangor, Holmen, La Crosse Central, La Crosse Logan, La Crescent, Onalaska, Onalaska Luther and West Salem high schools, as well as $1,000 for the Miss La Crosse Oktoberfest Scholarship Program.
The event will feature food and wine pairings, live and silent auctions, music and the unveiling of the 2022 Oktoberfest button design.
Tickets cost $65 and can be bought at the Gemütlichkeit Foundation website.
