Sylvia Rose Pecinovsky, 94, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Protivin, Iowa, died on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at her home.
Sylvia was born April 16, 1927, to Alois and Lucy (Koudelka) Pecinovsky in Protivin. She attended Rudolphinum grade school. Sylvia grew up in Protivin with her siblings; brother Robert (Mary) Pecinovsky, sister Mildred Sass-Petersen, and sister Irma (Jerry) Meyer.
She is survived by her sister Mildred of Stewartville, MN, and many nieces and nephews, who will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by her card player friends and family.
Funeral Mass for Sylvia will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Holy Trinity Parish in Protivin with Father Donald Hertges officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church.
