ICE deported Joel Ramirez Palma to his native Honduras, rejecting his lawyers' request that he be allowed to stay in New Orleans as a potential witness in the investigation into what caused the collapse of the Hard Rock Hotel on Oct. 12.
The City of New Orleans plans to bring down two cranes at the construction site of the Hard Rock Hotel that collapsed over the weekend, killing at least two people, according to New Orleans Fire Chief Timothy McConnell. Authorities are citing a potential tropical storm that could enter the area by Friday night.
Further movement from the unstable crane is causing problems, and additional rainfall will only make the situation worse.
