Warren Limmer said Wednesday that he still opposes the federal law but will let the measure come to a vote in a committee he chairs.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The entire Minnesota football team says it is boycotting all football activities, possibly including the Holiday Bowl, until it gets satisfactory answers from the university about the suspension of 10 players this week. Police declined to charge any of the players, but the school suspended them based on internal regulations involving sexual assault allegations.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) — Passers-by have rescued a woman after her vehicle slid off a Twin Cities highway ramp and into an icy holding pond. The Star Tribune reports the woman's sport utility vehicle went off the ramp on the border of Eden Prairie and Bloomington and landed in the water just after 8 a.m. Tuesday. The woman used a fire extinguisher inside her vehicle to break a rear window.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The public agency that runs the Minnesota Vikings' new stadium has moved to bar friends and relatives of its top officials from using its luxury suites. In the wake of criticism, the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority issued a draft policy change Monday saying friends and family of its commissioners and executive director should no longer have access to free tickets for its suites in U.S. Bank Stadium. The authority's board will consider the policy changes Friday

FARIBAULT, Minn. (AP) — Faribault police say a man and a child have been found dead in a home. Police officers and a Rice County sheriff's deputy were called to the home Sunday afternoon. Officers forced their way into the home and found the body of a man on the floor. Authorities also found the body of a child in the home and saw a firearm at the scene. The names of the man and child have not been confirmed. Detectives are working to identify the bodies and are interviewing neighbors.
