Obama proposes $1.1 billion increase to fight heroin, opioid abuse 'epidemic'
More Americans now die every year from a drug overdose than in car accidents. Numbers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show nearly 28,648 people died from an opioid overdose in 2014.
