The November election may still be fresh in many minds, but La Crosse's Mayor is already preparing for the next election cycle.
In part one of a two-part sit down interview with the mayor, Kabat told News 8 he felt the city's neighborhood program and millions of dollars in redevelopment were just some of the highlights this year for the city, along with how residents rallied together following a string of shootings in August.
The mayor said La Crosse residents have a lot to be thankful for, and he personally feels "blessed" to be a part of everything taking place in the city right now and believes this year's success will carryover to 2016.
The council wanted to increase the salary from $77,000 to about $79,000.
