‘Text to Give’ effort to support Salvation Army of La Crosse County

Effort supports Salvation Army while thrift store is closed

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The Salvation Army of La Crosse County is asking for the communities help to make up for a funding shortfall.

The organization is launching a ‘Text to Give’ number.

The effort is a way for the organization to recover some of the money lost while the organization’s Thrift Store is closed.

The closure is costing the organization $45,000 a month.

Your help can impact the community.

“We want to be in this together, but we’re just looking for help now. We are just starting to again see the need. And we are struggling ourselves to make sure that we have enough to give to others,” said Salvation of La Crosse County development director Christina Knudsen.

The campaign comes during ‘National Salvation Army Week’ which runs through Saturday.
